Introducing myself

Hey folks,

My name is Heather, and I am the owner/operator of Earthly Blessings Apothecary.

Growing up, I found out that I wasn't the same as others;

I couldn't use the same soap or laundry detergents, I couldn't use the same skin care products or bodywashes, I couldn't even be near those body sprays.

As a teenager, I used them all anyway, to my skin's detriment.

With diagnosis' of contact dermatitis, acne, rosacea and eczema from such a young age, I was constantly suffering from painful, burning and itchy skin flares. The unsightly rashes were whispered about between my teen peers as I walked by, and I became even more uncomfortable in my own skin.

When you hold so much stock in other people's opinions of you, life is bound to get rough.

For awhile there, rough was an understatement, and I struggled to find who I truly was amidst it all.

In my early forties, I didn't know how, but I knew something had to change. The transformation had started. As I tackled my trauma, I also became connected to Nature, learning the benefits of grounding.

I learned that our mother earth provides everything we need.

I started looking into natural skincare and pain solutions, and decided to get chickens and ducks,

Grow an organic garden, forage and make my own medicinal and skincare products.

I opened my small apothecary just over a year ago. It has been quite uneventful, but allowed me time to truly study my craft. I am now formulating and creating Organically made medicinals and skincare solutions that have taken my skin from painful and burning to healing and glowing with all burn and discomfort gone.

It is truly healing, not just,

the painful outside;

But also Giving me my confidence back.

So I know that back at the beginning of this all,

I said I wasn't the same as others,

But in this wild ride called life, I've found that there are plenty of others that are the same as me.

I am excited to help them, help themselves through my knowledge and products.
